Sooo... Family dollar stores sell cover girl nail care items, Yunno nail buffers, shapers, cuticle cutters, eyelash curlers etc.. For about 1.00 to 2.00 a piece. There are coupons out there for 3.00 off 2 cover girl items which can make these items free !! I just went to the store and purchased many of these items for free the other day.

Mac holiday 2012

Sooooo, the Mac holiday 2012 collection was released today and I pre ordered an item,  this palette, and I love it and am disappointed all at the same time. First off, the packaging is beautiful! But the eye shadow is not as pigmented as I would like therefore I will have to build and build with the color and I would expect better from MAC. But I love everything else about it.

Target 10/21/12

I went to Target over the weekend and found some good deals! There is a 2.00 off any Jergens lotion and at Target it was only 2.29 so I purchased a full size of that lotion for .29. Huggies were 8.99 this week and there was a coupon (target store coupon) for 2.00 off any purchase of Huggies diapers and wipes. I found a wig for my daughters halloween costume that was originally priced at 10.00 but was 30% off bringing it to 7.00. And finally the glade candles were on sale for 2.50 each and I had a manufacturers coupon for 3.00 off any 2 glade items getting them each for 1.00 a piece. My total without coupons would have been 41.55 but I paid 23.67. Good day, good, good day!

Naked 2 !

A few months ago, I went on a bit of a makeup shopping binge with all the money I had saved at the grocery store and one of the favorite items I purchased was the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. It was a bit pricey but was well worth it!The colors are suitable for everyday use and last all day( I also use the Urban Decay primer potion under the shadow) but if you want to invest in a high end eye shadow, I would suggest the Naked 2

Sunday inserts/Target

It's about 6:30, I've had my coffee and am awaiting my children to decide to start their day so we can make a run to the store and pick up the Sunday paper. I read somewhere that you should purchase at least one paper for every member in the household so I buy 4 and have 4 sets of coupons each week. This comes in handy for swapping coupons or getting four items free or for really cheap.

This receipt is from a local grocery store, I purchased 10 bottles or so of dish soap, and one chap stick, and walked away paying $1.00
I found out last year that Target allows you to print coupons (Target store coupons) off of their website and use them WITH a manufacturers coupon to double your savings. I do this periodically and look for items in their clearance section and have found amazing deals.

Couponing.

I am a single mother of 3 children ages 10, 7, and 3. I am newly single ( well for about a year now) and when my family dynamic changed and I was no longer part of a 2 income household, I panicked! How, how was I going to support 3 children with the menial child support I was granted!??

Then the heavens opened and I found my way to thekrazycouponlady.com. This website showed me how to match coupons to the sales going on for that week and purchase food for 50%  less than retail or better yet free! Over the past year I have accumulated 2 stockpiles , one for food and another for personal care items while paying rent, supporting 3 children, and treating myself at least once a week to something just for me. None of what I do would have been possible without my Couponing.

Here are the pictures of my stockpiles.

Beauty boxes

So, I am currently subscribed to Glossybox.com, beautybar.com, julep.com, and  birchbox.com and my feelings are mixed on all of them not to mention their concept. For those who may not know, beauty box subscriptions are literal boxes that you subscribe to and monthly they deduct their fee from your checking account ( these fees range from 10.00 a month to 21.00 a month) and send you a box of luxury samples of high end products which are supposed to exceeds the value of the box.

For instance, glossybox does give a high end products, but in the last box I got, the bb cream was so light it was unusable, as well as the lipstick they provided. For 21.00 a month with glossybox, I expect to receive products that I can use.

Beauty bar as of late has been providing high end products as well, however the samples that they are providing were so small in the last box, there is no way for me to get an accurate confirmation of the products to see if I truly like them enough to purchase or not. This box is 15.00 a month.

Birchbox has been a good box so far. Last box I received an authentic beauty blender and the Mary louminizer sample by the "Balm" cosmetic company and I have wanted to try both of them so SCORE. 10.00 a month

Last but not least is the julep maven box! This box is different than all of my other beauty boxes because this box is mainly just for mail items like polishes and nail care. As of late they have been experimenting with makeup as well. I have no complaints about this beauty box and have never been disappointed with what I have gotten. As soon as I familiarize myself with how to do a blog, I will start submitting pictures and things! Thanks for reading!, Julep, 19.99/month

Influenster

So, a couple of months ago in my search of the new beauty boxes that have become all the rage, I have come across a website that sends you boxes of free products simply for your opinion on those products , and completing some nominal tasks which include answering questions. www.Influenster.com is the website I am speaking of. You sign up, earn badges by mostly answering questions and reviewing products you have tried, and are randomly picked to receive boxes of certain themes throughout the year. this is a wonderful program and I highly recommend it. What did that one extreme couponer say on the show a while back, " .50 or less, but free is the best!"
