Target Haul!!

So last week, I went into Target looking for some new colors from the new Loreal line. This fall, they came out with a Le Laque shade range that consisted of glossy lip colors, and a Le Matte shade range consisting of matte shades. When I got to Target the first time, this is the carnage I was met with:
People had cleared the entire display and were using it to place bits and bobs that did not belong there; dejectedly, I returned home. Last night, I decided to go to a different Target and lo and behold, I struck gold!!
This is the La Laque shade in the color "Lacque-Onic". This is a very glossy red shade that is just beautiful!
Here is a swatch !

I of course, had to get a matte shade as well, and picked up :
This is the Le Matte shade in "Matte-R-of Fact" and this is a really pretty matte texture, with  brown with mauve undertones.
This may be my perfect natural shade for Fall!!

I also picked up a couple of other things:
I picked up the CoverGirl Outlast stay fab 3 in 1 foundation. This foundation claims to be a concealer, primer, and foundation all in one and I have heard some buzz about it on YouTube. Now if this foundation actually does what it says, it will become a fixture on my vanity. Time will tell, but so will I when I have an idea of how I think it wears on my skin. :o)

I also picked up a nail polish from the CoverGirl glosstini's collection.
This is in the shade "Appletini" and while it is not a traditional Fall shade, it is one that I think is soo pretty and will look great this coming spring!

While at Target, I saw that Maybelline was releasing a limited edition line of colored mascara. They had shades of blue, purple, pink, green, etc, etc etc...
I chose this shade in "so very berry" because I thought this would be the most complimentary with my shading, but also wearable. Very often, a subtle difference or addition of color adds a little something that changes your entire look.

I also picked up a couple non-beauty related items but I just wanted to show you guys what I got that IS beauty related!

Ipsy October 2013 Unbagging!!

So my Ipsy is here!! It came in on Saturday morning and it just made my Saturday so much better because it was like getting a gift.. on the WEEKEND!! Whoo Hoo!! Ok, lets get into it:
So this is the actual bag that came this month and I thought it was just adorable.
Now:
This 10 pack of face wipes was in the bag and usually I am not a big fan of face wipes, but these wipes don't irritate my skin like every other wipe I have ever used in my life has. I think that the formula being natural may have something to do with it, maybe not, all I know is that these do not irritate my skin and I really like them.

Now this item kind of confused me. It states on the package that it is a texturizing spray "clay". It is supposed to add texture as well as flexible hold on. The flexible hold portion I get but the texturizing clay part, has me slightly confused. I sprayed it and it looks and smells to be just a normal hairspray. I will have to see how if performs as one.

Next,  we have this:
This is a full size Zoya nail polish in the color "Neve". This color is so beautiful it is like this deep cobalt blue with some shimmer in it that makes it extra beautiful.

Now I have never received this next item in any beauty box from any brand before so I was, and still am happy about this:
This is  a FULL size brush from Coastal Scents!! I have never tried any of the Coastal Scents brushes but I know they are famous for their blush and 88 eye palettes and so I am soooo excited to try this out. One can never have too many eye brushes.... or shoes.  :o)

And finally we have what I consider the star of the box:
This is the Wet n Wild Fergie palette from the center stage collection in the colors" Desert Festival". I have always been a fan of Wet n Wild and these colors practically SCREAM Autumn!!!
Here is a swatch of the top 2 colors:
Now I must say that the shadows feel a bit chalky, and I know that I will have to work with them but the colors are so beautiful, I am willing to make the sacrifice. :o)

Here is a swatch of the bottom two colors:
 And that is it!!

It is no secret that I love Ipsy and the products in this months bag attest to why that is. See the full unbagging of this months bag here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ3xsqK2gjs

Elf Disney Villains First Impressions!!

So, I heard that Elf was releasing their Disney Villains palettes and that they were only going to be available at Walgreens. Before making the treck to Walgreens, I searched online and they were not available ANYWHERE, so off to Walgreens I went. Out of the 4 palettes the one with the colors that seemed to best suit my skin tone was the " Evil Queen" palette.. ( Yunno, from Snow White)  See Full Video First Impressions here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4HR9Kf5MFE
This is the outside of the Palette

 and here is the inside:
This Palette comes with six eyeshadows, a liquid liner, a kohl liner, an eyelid primer, a lip gloss, an eyeshadow brush, and a mascara. This entire palette retailed for $9.99!! WHA?!!??

Here is a closeup of the shadows:

Here is  swatch of the top three shadows: huntsman, jealousy, and majesty
And here is a swatch of the bottom three colors: witch, vanity, and dark magic
For the most part, I found these colors pigmented and VERY easy to blend which is what Elf shadows are all about and known for .

Now I am not sure why Elf decides each year NOT to sell these anywhere EXCEPT Walgreens because many people usually want to purchase these palettes but either cannot find them at their Walgreens, or do not live near one. Last year, I missed out because these sold like hotcakes as soon as they came out.

Now as I stated, this palette was the only one that I got because it had the most flattering colors for me, but upon further inspection of the store, I found another display with a box of 12 POLISHES also from the ELF Disney Villain collection that I HAD TO HAVE!!!
This is what the one side of the box looks like,
now lets get into the polishes!!
From left to right we have: Bubble Gum Pink, Mod Mauve, and Gina Girl

Next:

Left to Right: Pot of Gold,Cranberry, and Thunderstorm

Third:
Left to Right: Nude, Smokin Hot, and Smoky Brown

And Finally:
Left to Right: Coral Dream, Mint Cream, and Sea Escape.

So far I LOVE these colors!1 I have always been a fan of the ELF nail polishes for years now and getting 12 of them for a discount when they are already such a deal from the start is AMAZING!

So the moral of this tale is, at $9.99 a piece, these items are an AMAZING deal!! Go get you some ladies and gents!!! Thanks for reading!!

Blush Mystery Beauty Box October 2013!!

So, my second Blush mystery beauty box came in this month and it did NOT disappoint at all!! The first product that I want to discuss is this highlighter by Mirabella:
This highlighter is beautiful and swatches just the way it appears in the picture. The finish is slightly sparkly but not soo shimmery that you look like the mother of a 'solid gold" dancer. Beautiful color, and again this is by the line makeup line Mirabella, and in the color Shimmer Rose Brilliant.

Next item is this lip gloss:
This lip gloss is from the line MyFace Cosmetics and is in the color " Lip Pop". This color is very shimmery and glossy and such a pretty mauve shade that I cannot wait to try it! Most of the lipglosses ,and lipsticks for that matter, in my collection are red so it is really nice to have a shade like this that helps me to step out of my comfort zone.

Next up, we have this highlighting pencil by the brand Chella:
This is going to be perfect for under the brow or even on the bottom lash line to open up your eye a little more. When I swatched it, the thing I noticed right away was that it was a really creamy formula that was easy to blend.  Here is a swatch of the color:
Next up was one of my most prized possessions in this box:
This is a full size Butter London nail polish in the color "kerfuffle" This word just tickles my fancy each time I say it. Hee Hee!! This color is very much on trend for this fall even though it is not a vampy dark shade and I cannot wait to use it!
Next:
This is the Talika Lipocils expert lash growth serum. This product claims to lengthen lashes 36%, darken by 50%, and to curl your lashes up to 50%. I have not yet used it so I cannot honestly attest to the capabilities of the product but if it actually does what it says, I will definitely let you know!
Next we have a full size skincare item:
This is a moisturizer that states it is " Specially formulated to exfoliate and moisturize callused, dry skin on hands, feet, elbows, and knees." The one thing that I noticed about this product is that it contains salicylic acid and it is not made for your face!! I am sure that salicylic acid has more benefits than the prevention of blemishes, but to see it in a cream that is made for your feet, hands, knees and elbows was... surprising.

And the last two items were sample skincare items:
This is, when you take away all of the fancy names and hooplah, a rich, facial moisturizer and I hope I like it!

And last but not least is:
This mattifying primer that I cannot wait to try!! I am always searching for great primers because I cannot leave the house without primer under my makeup... at least on the days I am wearing makeup..

Review Elf Beauty Bronzed Book!

So I purchased this palette on iherb.com , a few weeks ago. ( Link to purchase palette on IHerb: http://www.iherb.com/E-L-F-Cosmetics-Studio-Beauty-Book-Bronzed-Look-9-Piece-Set/48703 )

And I am in love with it!!
This palette comes with six eye shadows, a lid primer, an applicator, and a black eyeliner and comes in at a cool $4.99!! You can't beat that price with a STICK!!
When you open the palette, there are instructions on how to use the colors together to best flatter each other:
Now the real test of eye shadows is not the fanciness of the packaging, or even the price if the quality is not that great. Sub par products are  NOT the case with these shadows. Check out these swatches:
No joke, these shadows are PIGMENTED!!

I made the mistake of applying the darker shades not thinking it was going to be as pigmented as it was and I very quickly realized that I had created  VERY smokey eye and it was like 8:00am and I had no time to change it before I needed to leave for work. So the moral of this story is to handle this product with care and a LIGHT hand. LOL!!

Standout Beauty Box Products!

So over the past year, I have been subscribed to more than my share of beauty boxes, and these products are some of the ones that stood out to me that I find myself going to day after day.

First off we have:
The DDF Acne Control Treatment. This amazing product has worked wonders for my skin, and any impending spots and or blemishes have disappeared  almost overnight with use of this cream . AH-maze!!

The next product is no surprise:
The Michael Todd Pumpkin Rich Facial Mask! I got this baby in both my Ipsy and my Little Black Bag box and I LOVED the way it made my skin feel. I did an entire video of my first impression of it, see that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTlXVl5csBA But this stuff is also amazing!

Next we have my:
Cheek and Lip Tint by Modelco that I use almost daily under my powder blush for a "stay all day" look. When I look for products, I look for things that are going to have staying power so I do not have to be in the mirror 100000000000 times during the day to check and make sure it is fulfilling its purpose, and this products helps my blush do that. Trust is such a huge issue for me :o)

Next is another product that I use under my blush and that is :

My Tarte "achiote" natural cheek tint. This is another cream product that I use either alone or under my blush for a lasting effect that adds more color surprisingly than the modelco.

Next I have a hair product:
The Quidad Moisture lock define and shine cream is designed to give you wavy loose curls and it does. Now I cannot attest to its affect on straight hair, because my hair is curly, but when I apply it to my hair it acts as a separator to my curls and makes little ringlets out of them which I love!

And finally,

This is the Modelco party proof matte lipstick in the color "Red Velvet". This lipstick is what I would describe as a glossy matte, because the finish is a bit more moisturizing than a traditional matte but the staying power is equal. I love how this lipstick not only applies, but wears throughout the day.

The links for all of the products mentioned are in the description bar of the video for this topic that you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PJFuutTtWk Thanks for reading!!!

Mac Mini Haul!

So, my one mission today was to get to the mall early and get to the Mac counter to get the color "nude" from the new Mac collaboration with Rhianna or the " Riri" collection. However, much to my disappointment, they were OUT of that color! Ugh, so I settled on this little beauty:
This beautiful perfection is "RiRi Woo" from Mac and although it is a re-promoted color, I have never owned it before and I am in love!! Here is a swatch:

Next I picked up a color that I have heard a lot of in the past couple weeks with Autumn settling in, and that color is "Diva" from Mac:
This color is a very deep berry with red hints that make it differ from some of the other berry colors I own. Here is a swatch :
Now the next item is what I consider my stand out item of the entire shopping trip because it is sooooo beautiful!! That is my new eye shadow in the color" Beauty Mark"
I had swatched this color in the store before, but for some reason I never picked it up, and when I saw it today and swatched it, I was sooo exccited!!Yes, there is some shimmer, but I think the dark richness of the color makes it not as "in your face' as it otherwise may be if it was a lighter color. It swatches and blends beautifully!! I am in LOVE!

The other items that I got were just standby repurchase items, brush cleanser, studio finish concealer, and Prolongwear concealer because I also love those products and was out of at least two of them. See my full haul video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjxichcFL0Q Thanks for reading!!
